Turns out, a low salt diet is "miserable and dangerous," according to Dr. James DiNicolantonio in his book, The Salt Fix: Why the Experts Got It All Wrong--and How Eating More Might Save Your Life.

Not only does a low salt diet put stress on your organs, it may cause you to eat more food and more of the wrong foods. This can result in weight gain and potentially more serious negative health impacts as well. 

So, in this episode I am busting some myths about salt. Plus, I touch on the history, the differences between various types of salt and common "knowledge" you might be basing your dietary decisions on that now seems to be revealed as untrue.
